2-Methyltetrahydrofuran, or MeTHF, is a biobased solvent used for extraction, Grignard chemistry, and other organometallic reactions. MeTHF supports efficient phase separation and phase recovery due to its limited water miscibility. Its performance profile is not impacted and behaves as a practical alternative to tetrahydrofuran (THF) and chlorinated solvents in select reaction systems.
