Glypure® is a leading brand for cosmetic-grade glycolic acids from PureTech Scientific, previously manufactured by Chemours. Glypure® 70 is the highest-purity 70% glycolic acid solution for personal care and cosmetic consumer products.
Glypure® glycolic acid is among a chemical group of alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) that provides a variety of functional benefits to skin, hair, and nail care formulations, including shampoos, conditioners, hair treatments, and skin moisturizers and creams.
As a cosmetic ingredient, Glypure® penetrates the skin effectively and stimulates cellular activity. As an anti-aging active ingredient, it moisturizes the stratum corneum to alleviate dry skin and flaking and can readjust the water percentage in the epidermis, allowing for smoother, softer, and more radiant skin. Glypure® also increases the production of dermal matrix compounds and collagen synthesis in the dermis. This reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while improving elasticity and firmness.
Glypure® 70 is an alpha-hydroxyacetic acid made in the USA and manufactured by PureTech Scientific in Belle, WV.
