ETHOCEL™ Standard 4 Industrial is a low molecular weight, water-insoluble, ethyl cellulose polymer that is used as a binder in specialty inks and coatings.
ETHOCEL™ Standard 4 Industrial is the lowest molecular weight ethyl cellulose polymer available of the ETHOCEL™ product line.
It is very high purity, burns out cleanly, and is excellent for improving the green strength of conductive pastes used to screen print circuits for photovoltaic cells.
ETHOCEL™ Standard 4 Industrial is soluble in many common solvent types including esters, ethers, ketones, aromatics, and alcohols.
It is used to impart a pseudoplastic rheology to solvent based coating, ink, and adhesive formulations.
Additionally, ETHOCEL™ Standard 4 Industrial is thermoplastic and can be used to form durable films with excellent gloss and flexibility.
ETHOCEL™ Standard 4 Industrial is soluble in many solvents commonly used in gravure ink formulations and can be easily added to improve the properties of the ink.
In gravure ink formulations, ETHOCEL™ Standard 4 Industrial is used as a rheology modifier, pigment binder, and improves printability on difficult substrates like plastic and glass.
