Lattice® NT-200 is a microcrystalline cellulose powder with an average particle size of 200 µm used as a binder in industrial tablet formulations.
Lattice® NT-200 is a binder-grade microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) powder with an average particle size of 200 µm. It is a bio-based polymer produced by the acid hydrolysis of wood pulp. Lattice® NT-200 is an excellent dry binder typically used in tablets and compacts produced by direct compression or dry granulation. When used in tableting, Lattice® NT-200 is recommended to be added to formulations at 20%–50% by weight of the final product. Lattice® NT-200 may also be used as a process aid in wet granulation processes to control granule particle size.
Lattice® NT-200 also has disintegrant properties, is nontoxic, and is EPA exempt. This means it is also useful as an adjuvant in agricultural chemical formulations, including wettable powders, water-dispersible granules, and extrudates. It is recommended to be used at 5%–50% by weight in this application.
Lattice® NT-200 microcrystalline cellulose is only approved for industrial, nonfood, and nonpharmaceutical use.
