Overview
METHOCEL™ E15 Premium LV is a water soluble HPMC polymer with moderate hydroxypropyl substitution and high methoxy content. The hydroxypropyl content gives METHOCEL™ E15 Premium LV compatibility with some organic solvents. It is commonly used as a thickener, binder, film former, and suspension aid. Because of it's thixotropic nature, solutions containing METHOCEL™ E15 Premium LV have excellent lubricity and spreadability. It is also stable across a wide pH range (2-13) making it an ideal thickener for cleaning products. Solutions containing METHOCEL™ E15 Premium LV will reversibly gel at temperatures above 64°C and provide a boost in green strength to ceramics and adehsives.
