Overview
METHOCEL™ F4M Premium is a water-soluble HPMC polymer with low hydroxypropyl and high methoxy content. It is derived from cellulose and used as a thickener, binder, and suspension aid in applications that require high chemical purity, such as in the medical and electronics industries. METHOCEL™ F4M Premium is thixotropic in nature and provides solutions with excellent lubricity and spreadability properties. This makes it a great additive for coatings and ink applications. Additionally, METHOCEL™ polymers have outstanding pH stability, making them ideal for cleaning applications, where cleaners have improved adhesion and sag resistance on overhead or vertical surfaces. METHOCEL™ F4M Premium will reversibly gel at temperatures above 68°C and provide a boost in green strength for ceramics and adhesives.
