PELECTRON AS is a polyether-ester-amide block copolymer with permanent anti-static properties when kneaded into styrene resins, such as ABS, PC/ABS, and PC resins, prior to molding. It reduces problems associated with dust adhesion, static electricity, electric shock, and more without affecting the physical properties or moldability of resins. PELECTRON AS is insoluble in water, with low humidity dependence, and provides a surface resistivity of 4x10⁶ Ω.

PELECTRON AS is a premium-quality polymer-alloy type antistatic agent containing polyether-ester-amide block copolymer for its long-term antistatic properties when added to styrene resin applications. Developed by Sanyo Chemical using a compatibilization technique, this antistatic agent is available in solid pellet form and is recommended to be dry-blended with styrene resins, such as ABS, PC/ABS, and PC resins, prior to kneading, then molded using injection or extrusion molding, for the production of a wide range of products, including electric appliances, electronic parts, office equipment, protector films, explosion-proof helmets, floor materials, and automotive interior components. Upon blending, dispersants and fillers can be added for enhanced performance and physical properties, if desired. This agent helps to reduce the risk of electric shock, static, dust adhesion, and more, which often leads to the deterioration and malfunction of products without affecting the mechanical properties or moldability of resins. Because it is insoluble in water and humidity-independent, this antistatic agent ensures long-lasting performance even after contact with water.
