PELESTAT 230 is an advanced performance polyether-polyolefin block copolymer with permanent anti-static properties when dry-blended with polyolefin materials, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, and high-impact polystyrene (HIPS), prior to molding. PELESTAT 230 is insoluble in water, with low humidity dependence, and provides a surface resistivity of 5x10⁷ Ω.

PELESTAT 230 is a versatile polymer-alloy type antistatic agent containing polyether-polyolefin block copolymer for its long-term antistatic properties when added to polyolefin materials, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, and high-impact polystyrene (HIPS). Developed by Sanyo Chemical using a compatibilization technique, this antistatic agent is available in solid pellet form and is easily dispersed in base resins, allowing it to be dry-blended and directly molded without the need for a kneading process. It reduces problems associated with dust adhesion, static electricity, electric shock, and more without affecting the physical properties of resins and exhibits low humidity dependence, resisting change in static dissipation after contact with water. Due to this, it is recommended for applications such as blown films and sheets of polyethylene, oriented films and sheets of polypropylene, and HIPS resins used in electric appliances, office equipment, floor materials, electronic parts, protective films, automobile interiors, and more.
