EMAC+® SP1330 is an ethylene methyl acrylate block copolymer engineered by Westlake to provide toughness and flexibility to extrusion coatings, laminations, and compounds. It facilitates performance at high and low temperatures, contains 22% methyl acrylate content, and provides a tensile strength of 10 MPa at break.
EMAC+® SP1330 is a soft, flexible EMA block copolymer containing 22% ethylene methyl acrylate for optimal toughness, clarity, and improved processing. It exhibits a higher melting point than traditional polymers, with a melting point of 95°C, and provides low-temperature performance. EMAC+® SP1330 is typically used in tie layers to PET but is compatible with various materials, including paper, polyolefins, ionomers, and PVC, helping adhere to materials by providing a high coefficient of friction, or friction tack. It displays excellent resistance to impact, environmental stress cracking, and more. It can be easily processed by coextrusion or blending for films, flexible packaging, heat seal layers, tie layers, and more.
