Sulfolane-W
Sulfolane W is a solvent normally applied to separate Benzene, Toulene and xylene aromatic hydrocarbons from refinery reformate. CAS N: 126-33-0
Sulfolane W is used in an extraction process for acid gas treatment (gas sweetening) where acidic gases such as Hydrogen Sulfide, Carbon dioxide, Carbon Oxysulphide, carbon disulphide and mercaptans, are excluded from natural gas.
At the same time, Sulfolane W is also used in aromatic extraction due to its high solvency properties which yields a >99.9% purity in the final product and after the separation it can be recovered for other uses.
