METHOCEL™ F50 Food Grade
METHOCEL™ F50 Food Grade is a low molecular weight hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) thickener with food compliance. It yields a viscosity of 50 cP at 2% in water.
METHOCEL™ F50 Food Grade is a water-soluble HPMC polymer with low hydroxypropyl substitution. METHOCEL™ F50 Food Grade is typically used as a rheology modifier, binder, film former, or suspension aid in applications that require food grade material. METHOCEL™ F50 Food Grade is thixotropic and allows for precise rheology control in solutions with low viscosity. Additionally, METHOCEL™ F50 Food Grade has excellent pH stability in both acidic and alkaline environments making it an ideal thickener for cleaning products. It will thermally gel at temperatures above 68°C and provides a boost in green strength in ceramics and adhesives.
