ETHANOX™ 4701
ETHANOX™ 4701 is a pure, solid phenolic antioxidant chemical containing 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol. It exhibits a low melting point and effective oxidation inhibition compared to common solid antioxidants used in fuel and lubricant applications, including jet fuel, gasoline, and R&O inhibited oils for steam turbines and hydraulic systems.
ETHANOX™ 4701 is a pure, single-ringed phenolic type antioxidant comprising 100% 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol. This ashless oxidation inhibitor is recommended for a wide range of fuel and lubricant applications, including industrial lubricating oils, transmission fluids, quench oils, transformer fluids, slideway oils, transformer oils, greases, and engine oils. It meets all major civil and military specifications for transportation fuels and is pipeline and aviation fuel approved. ETHANOX™ 4701 offers superior oxidation performance to common solid antioxidants, while its low melting point (36°C) allows for convenient bulk handling in liquid form.
