Dow’s ROBOND^™ pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) are products based on acrylic emulsions that are typically used in tape, label, and graphic film applications. Many grades exist within the ROBOND^™ portfolio to allow customization of properties such as peel strength, shear strength, and tack to create products that have permanent, temporary, or resealable adhesion to a variety of substrates. ROBOND^™ adhesives provide good adhesive performance in a wide range of temperatures, are optically clear, have excellent UV and chemical resistance, and help reduce VOCs in manufacturing processes, being water-based products. ROBOND^™ pressure-sensitive adhesives used to manufacture tapes are typically used for packaging, masking, electronics, construction, and medical applications. ROBOND^™ adhesives used for labels are normally used on paper or filmic stock and in applications requiring high tack, including beverage bottles, resealable dry goods packaging, and household goods packaging. These adhesives may also be used in graphic signage applications and marking or transfer tapes.
