Kemamide® Amides

Overview

Kemamide® amides provide slow surface bloom yielding long term anti-blocking and resistance to friction. A variety of chemistries, physical forms, feed stocks, and purities provides customers with a wide range of primary and secondary amides, as well as bisamides. Polymer system dependant, they act as processing, foaming, and extrusion aides, as well as mold release, and mold flow enhancers. Many grades are designed with low taste and odor for beverage containers and food storage.

Problems Solved

High friction and mechanical handling difficulties of polyolefin articles and production processes Incompatibility issues and poor performance of slip agents, mold release additives, and anti-block agents
Slipping agents hard to incorporate into the polymer
Domestic supply of primary, secondary, and bisamide fatty acids
High cost and level of use of slipping agents and internal lubricants
Slow migration of slip additives into the polymer matrix
A High concentration required for efficient mold release
Friction and mold residue in the extrusion of elastomer compounds
Torque and inadequate external lubrication in rigid PVC formulations
