Hystrene® 5522 Flake has an arachidic–behenic acid content of approximately 55% and is commercially available as a flake. Other major components include palmitic and stearic acids.
Hystrene® 5522 saturated and unsaturated fatty acids have excellent oxidative and thermal stability, making them useful in countless sensitive applications. This grade is characterized by a blend of behenic acid and arachidic acid, which is approximately 55%. In cosmetics and skin care, Hystrene® 5522 Flake offers soothing, and moisturizing properties, and a protective barrier against the environment.
