It features the smallest molecule of the alpha-hydroxycarboxylic acids family, which provides excellent penetration and deeper cleaning when used in cleaning and descaling products.
Glycolic acid is an outstanding choice for a broad range of cleaning applications due to its dual functional groups, hydroxyl (OH) and carboxyl (COOH). The dual functionality enables exceptional cleaning performance for mineral and hard water scales. Glycolic acid occurs naturally as a trace component in sugarcane, beets, grapes, and fruits. PureTech Scientific synthesizes their glycolic acid through a sustainable manufacturing process in Belle, WV.
