METHOCEL™ A4M Food Grade is a medium–molecular weight methylcellulose thickener. It yields a viscosity of 4,000 cPs at 2% in water.
METHOCEL™ A4M Food Grade is a water-soluble methylcellulose polymer used as a thickener, rheology modifier, binder, and film former. This cellulose ether product complies with common food standards and is meant for applications that may contact food, such as packaging. Thus, it may be used as a binder for thickening additives in packaging inks and coatings. METHOCEL™ A4M Food Grade solutions are thixotropic in nature, create good lubricity and workability, and exhibit outstanding stability in extreme pH.
