EMAC® SP2255 from Westlake is an EMA copolymer engineered with a low coefficient of friction and excellent slip and antiblock properties. It contains 17% methyl acrylate and is formulated with slip and antiblocking agents for film manufacturing.
EMAC® SP2255 is a 17% EMA copolymer designed for blown and cast film manufacturing, containing slip and antiblocking agents. It helps to impart a high degree of flexibility, softness, and a low coefficient of friction. It has a Vicat softening temperature of 55°C and a brittleness temperature of less than −73°C. EMAC® SP2255 may be used in end applications that include medical drapes, disposable gloves, and instrument covers. It also easily adheres to polyolefins, polyesters, and other polymers.
