Aurorium Citroflex™ portfolio of citric acid esters plasticizers for use in various plastic manufacturing applications and polymer systems.
Aurorium Citroflex™ delivers excellent plasticizer performances in aqueous- and solvent-based polymers, including acrylic, methacrylic, ethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, vinyl acetates, vinyl chloride, and urethane polymer systems. Available in either hydrophilic or lipophilic esters, formulators control the polymer system characteristics to suit the finished product's needs better. Furthermore, their unique citrate ester characteristics provide environmentally friendly benefits for formulators. Aurorium citric acid esters provide powerful solvency, low order of toxicity, low volatility, high flash points, phthalate-free, and rapid biodegradability.

Citroflex™ in PVC Applications:
Phthalate plasticizers, including DEHP, have been the primary plasticizers used in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) based products for many years. Citroflex™ citric acid esters are excellent alternatives to phthalate-based plasticizers as they provide a better balance of physical properties and low volatility when used in PVC systems.
Aurorium citrate esters offer high tensile strength and elongation with reduced volatility and the plasticizer's migration rate. Citroflex™ is the ideal plasticizer for use in the following plastic applications:
