HiTEC® 7197 is a ZDDP anti-wear and extreme-pressure agent typically used in gasoline and diesel crankcase formulations.
HiTEC® 7197 is a mixed, primary zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate (ZDDP) additive with effective anti-wear, extreme pressure and antioxidant properties. Its high thermal stability makes it a suitable anti-wear and extreme-pressure agent for high-temperature environments. HiTEC® 7197 is commonly used in gasoline and diesel motor oil formulations to protect critical engine components, but also has wide suitability in industrial oil applications. It is compatible with various base oils, providing blending flexibility and streamlining operations.

In high-pressure or high-temperature environments, lubricating oils are more susceptible to oxidation and breakdown, resulting in poor performance and potentially worn and damaged components. Finding multipurpose anti-wear additives that are effective in various formulations can be a challenge for lubricant formulators.
