HiTEC® 317 industrial gear oil additive package is designed for formulating premium-tier oils with clean-gear performance.
HiTEC® 317 additive is engineered for formulating premium industrial gear oils with clean-gear performance under high temperatures. The additive package also exhibits incredible oxidative stability and corrosion performance, increasing drain intervals and reducing overall fluid consumption. It helps retain high levels of phosphorus through the operational life of the lubricant, providing extended wear protection and protecting critical components. HiTEC® 317 additive is compatible with a wide range of mineral oils. In some instances, it can be blended into synthetic oil with the addition of ester fluid to improve solubility.
Oils properly blended in a suitable base stock with HiTEC® 317 additive can meet the following specifications:

In gear systems exposed to elevated temperatures and high oxidation, oil is more susceptible to degradation, causing a dirty system from sludge and deposit buildup. This can also impact lubrication and wear performance, leading to gear and bearing damage, as well as oil loss and frequent drain intervals.
