DOWCAL™ 100 is a high performance ethylene glycol-based heat transfer fluid designed for demanding applications that especially requires thermal efficiency, corrosion protection and reliability at lower glycol concentrations. DOWCAL™ 100, produced by Dow Chemical, is a high quality ethylene glycol heat transfer fluid widely used in several industrial and commercial applications because of its great thermal properties, reliability and versatility.
DOWCAL™ 100 heat transfer fluid provides excellent performance and exceptional thermal stability in well-maintained heat transfer systems. It offers a freezing point for a 50% solution of approximately -37°C (35°F), boiling point of 197°C (386°F), specific heat capacity of 2.43 J/g°C at 25°C and thermal conductivity of 0.258 W/mK at 25°C. This ethylene glycol chemical formula is formulated with inhibitors to protect againt corrosion of metalscommonly found in heat transfer systems, such as steel, cast iron, copper, and aluminum.
DOWCAL™ 100 is suited for technical applications that require a more diluted, low glycol concentration heat transfer fluid including: closed-loop industrial cooling systems; heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems; low temperature refrigeration applications; solar heating; snow melting systems; process heating; heat recovery; wind turbine systems; data center cooling and Ice skating rinks.
