SYLOID® 244 FP is a unique synthetic silica excipient containing an amorphous silicon dioxide, chemically prepared by GRACE. Formulated with a high pore volume of 1.5 ml/g and a large internal surface area, SYLOID® 244 FP is suitable for a range of applications in pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals.

SYLOID® 244 FP is a high-pore volume silica excipient that provides multifunctional benefits and functionality across industries. Its outstanding porosity, absorption, density, particle size distribution, and internal surface area, ensure optimal performance, reducing the number of excipients needed and minimizing the complexity of formulations with maximum dosage efficacy. In pharmaceuticals and personal care, it provides excellent moisture protection and anti-tacking properties for glidant functionality and can be used as a suspension aid in tablet coating formulations. Its exceptional compatibility with active ingredients ensures versatile formulating capabilities as a glidant, tableting aid, and carrier, SYLOID® 244 FP can absorb up to 1.6 mL of liquid per gram with a strong affinity for moisture and organic base liquids.
