Overview
LOCTITE® 454™ is a high-performance cyanoacrylate adhesive specially designed for the assembly of a wide range of difficult-to-bond materials, including metals, plastics, and elastomers. It also exhibits wicking properties, allowing it to absorb into and bond porous materials such as wood, paper, leather, and fabric. LOCTITE® 454™ provides uniform stress distribution and strong tension and/or shear strength, making it perfect for all quick repairs and OEM assembly. Its gel-like consistency prevents adhesive flow and drip when used in vertical or overhead applications. The rate of cure of LOCTITE® 454™ will depend on the bond line gap and ambient relative humidity, with the best results occurring when relative humidity is 40% to 60% at 22°C.
