Anhydrous ammonia is a high-purity chemical compound containing 99.5% ammonia (CAS No. 7664-41-7). It has been formulated for use in a wide range of industries and applications, including cold storage and refrigeration, pH neutralization, metal heat treatment, powder metallurgy, feedstock, blueprinting, microfilm, NOx control, and more. As a colorless liquid compressed gas with excellent vaporization properties and a vapor pressure of 93 psig, this anhydrous ammonia is especially useful as a refrigerant and NOx controlling agent. For the purposes of NOx control, anhydrous ammonia can successfully neutralize nitrogen oxide pollutants that are emitted by diesel engines during combustion. Anhydrous ammonia is available in bulk deliveries, as well as various cylinder options.
