jER™ YX8000D is a UV/LED-curable, hydrogenated bisphenol A-type liquid epoxy resin formed by the condensation polymerization of bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin. It forms an infusible, insoluble, three-dimensional, hardened material when reacted with various curing agents with significantly lower photocuring time required than conventional CERs. This hardened coating exhibits excellent insulation and resistance to heat, chemicals, water, wear, and abrasion while remaining highly adhesive to various substrates, such as metal, porcelain, concrete, glass, fibers, fabrics, ceramics, and steel. Due to its colorless and transparent appearance, it is ideal for optical materials such as LED encapsulants, adhesives for displays, LED reflectors, and semiconductor manufacturing.
