jER™ YX8000D is a highly pure alicyclic epoxy resin that can be used in optical materials like LED encapsulant, adhesives for displays, semiconductor manufacturing and LED reflectors.
jER™ YX8000D is a UV/LED curable, hydrogenated bisphenol A type liquid epoxy resin formed by the condensation polymerization of bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin. It forms am infusible, insoluble, three dimensional, hardened material when reacted with various curing agents with significantly lower photocuring time required when compared with conventional CERs. This hardened coating exhibits excellent insulation, heat resistance, chemical resistance, water resistance as well as good wear and abrasion resistance while remaining highly adhesive to various substrates such as metal, porcelain, concrete, glass, fibers and fabrics, ceramics and steel. It is optimal for optical materials like LED encapsulants, adhesives for displays, LED reflectors, or semiconductor manufacturing due to its colorless and transparent appearance.
