Momentive’s Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) is primarily used for health care products such as, high-voltage insulation, surgical devices, fluid and drug delivery devices, prosthetics, stoppers, laboratory accessories, medical tubing, wound drains, sterilization mats, pharmaceutical closures, instrument grips, O-rings, catheters, and valves. This line of LSR can also be used for keypads, cable accessories, wire and cable, and a variety of manufacturing products composed of silicone rubbers.
Product Description
Liquid Silicone Rubber is a silicone elastomer that can be molded and cured with very fast cycle times at elevated temperatures. LSRs enhance injection molding by offering high clarity, fast curing times, and high tear strength. These LSR grades also have options that are self-bonding, self-lubricating, fully fluorinated and can be electrically conductive. Available in a wide range of durometers, LSR is ideal for short cycle time injection and fully automatic processing. The Momentive curing grades offer cure on command, enabling the manufacturer to precisely control the curing starting point.
