HRJ-10518 is a heat-reactive resin based on octylphenol and formaldehyde. It is explicitly developed to cure natural rubber and unsaturated elastomers.
HRJ-10518 is excellent for use in curing natural rubber and unsaturated elastomers. It cross-links rubber through C-C bridges, providing inherent ozone resistance and heat resistance to cured rubber systems.
Due to its high reactivity, HRJ-10518 is a reliable choice for elastomeric systems where an increased cure rate or a low-temperature cure cycle is desired. HRJ-10518 features a low melting point for easy blending with rubber stock.
When combined with catalysts, such as halide-bearing elastomers and metallic chlorides, HRJ-10518 provides outstanding resistance to high dry heat and compression set.
