SP-10 is a phenolic resin that is used for the manufacture of polychloroprene cement and adhesives for its light color and ability to extend open time.
SP-10 is an alkylphenol-formaldehyde resin that is explicitly developed for general-purpose and heat-activating polychloroprene cement. SP-103 extends the tack life of polychloroprene contact cement. It also increases the film's adhesion and cohesive strength to metal and glass.
SP-10 is also used in rubber-based adhesives, including NBR, SBR, natural, and reclaimed rubbers.
