Overview
PhosGard APP-MC is a fine particle crystal phase II modified Ammonium Polyphosphate coated with Melamine. The Melamine offers protection against moisture.The nitrogen present in PhosGard APP-MC aids in char formation and hence acts as an intumescent flame retardant. PhosGard APP-MC is effective as a non-halogenated flame retardant in water based coatings, polyurethanes, thermosets and polyolefins.
