UCON™ LB-650-XY23 is an ISO 100/150 oil, polypropylene glycol monobutyl ether fluid designed for applications with extreme-pressure and high-temperature requirements. It also has special additives for iron and copper corrosion protection.
UCON™ LB-650-XY23 Lubricant from DOW is a water-insoluble butanol–propylene oxide polymer. This lubricant is formulated with additives to improve iron and copper corrosion and for high-temperature performance. UCON™ LB-650-XY23 lubricant is less volatile at higher temperatures, resulting in higher flash points.
This water-insoluble polymer has a viscosity of 124–143 cSt at 40°C. This specialty fluid has less tendency to form chemical byproducts, such as organic acids and aldehydes.
