BONDERITE® L-GP EB 020A ACHESON is a water-based conductive coating that provides controlled electrical properties to alkaline battery applications.
BONDERITE® L-GP EB 020A ACHESON, also known as DAG EB-020A, is a water-based, thermosetting graphite coating with very high conductivity properties. It is ideally suited for protecting current collectors in alkaline battery applications, and it prevents nickel-plated steel from corroding and oxidizing. It also enhances the electrical contact between the cathode can and electrolyte, optimizing battery performance and longevity. Because of its simple spray application, BONDERITE® L-GP EB 020A ACHESON provides maximum production speeds to lower operating and component costs

Without conductive coatings, batteries can experience several potential issues and reduced performance, including electrochemical corrosion, shorter battery life, lower energy density, higher risk of overheating, and poor charge and discharge cycles, resulting in short cycle life. Some conductive coatings are better than others. Solvent-based formulas can be problematic for operations trying to lower volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions and comply with environmental regulations. Coatings that have difficult or long application methods can slow down production speeds, reducing operational efficiency and increasing costs.
