Overview
This 10% lycopene grade contains finely dispersed lycopene microencapsulated in a matrix of non-GMO starch, gelatin, and sucrose. Antioxidants, including DL-alpha-tocopherol, sodium ascorbate, and ascorbyl palmitate, are added to maintain the quality over the shelf life. It has been specially formulated for optimum stability and color retention in compressed tablets.

Applications
Lycopene can only be used as a dietary supplement in products sold in the US. It may only be used as an alternative to yellow-orange food coloring in products sold in the EU.
This grade is ideal for use in tablets, hard-shell capsules, premixes, and other powder or compressed powder applications.
A stock solution with a concentration of 2% can be prepared by slowly adding the desired quantity of powder to cold or warm water under continuous agitation.
