UCON™ LUB 51 is an ISO 1000 high-performance calender lubricant that offers exceptional lubricity in large-scale calendaring and mill equipment.
UCON™ LUB 51 is a specially compounded oil fluid derived from polyalkylene glycol (PAG) designed to lubricate moving and rotating parts on large-scale mills and calender processing machines. This synthetic lubricant is commonly used in the textile, paper, and plastics manufacturing industries. UCON™ LUB 51 is formulated to be noncorrosive, nontoxic, and nonirritating to the skin, making it a safe and environmentally friendly choice for industrial use in the calendering process. Its low coefficient of friction reduces surface-to-surface contact and pressure, helping reduce wear and tear on equipment to extend service life and reduce maintenance costs over time. Its superior properties can also help improve processing efficiency, reduce downtime, and increase overall productivity. It has a kinematic viscosity of 1,047–1,230 cSt at 37.8°C.
This synthetic fluid is made with a unique blend of polyalkylene glycol (PAG) and synthetic ester base oils, providing excellent lubrication properties and thermal stability at high temperatures.
