UCON™ Food Grade 220

Dow UCON™ 220 polypropylene glycol-based lubricant is a fully formulated, food-grade synthetic gear oil specifically developed for use in industrial machinery. UCON™ 220 NSF H1 synthetic lubricant exceeds the performance requirements of a number of industry compressor, pump, and valve OEMs. Due to its characteristics, UCON™ Food Grade 220 is specially used in the machine processing of aluminum foil for the food industry. UCON™ hydraulic fluids also contain multipurpose and corrosion-inhibiting additives, making the fluid a highly reliable gear oil lubricant.

UCON™ Food Grade 220 is formulated with diverse manufacturer needs and processing requirements in mind and applications where NSF H1 food-grade lubricants are required, including hydraulic pumps and systems, various bearing types, and gears. This synthetic gear oil not only alleviates incidental food contamination concerns but also is highly versatile for specific production conditions.

This universal NSF H1 food-grade lubricant has a viscosity of 285 cSt at 100°F. However, it can be blended with a coolant additive or rolling fluid to produce a hydraulic fluid that meets individual manufacturing viscosity requirements for specific hydraulic systems. UCON™ food-grade oils provide quality and reliable lubrication even in demanding environments. They also contain low-staining properties, making them the ideal synthetic polypropylene food-grade lubricant.
