Elvacite™ TB-250 is a versatile, nonreactive methacrylate copolymer resin recommended for use in a wide range of pigment paste applications as a dispersing aid, as well as in inks and coatings as a binding agent.
Elvacite™ TB-250 is a thermoplastic resin based on a methacrylate copolymer, manufactured for pigment dispersion and binding. It has a relatively molecular weight of 7,000 g/mol that allows it to produce low-viscosity, water-white-clarity solutions when dissolved in toluene, ketones, esters, and chlorinated hydrocarbon solvents. As a binder, it creates high-durability films resistant to weathering, chemicals, and moisture. It is suitable as a binder in inkjet ink formulations and sprayable coating formulations that require a low viscosity for application. It can also be used as a dispersing aid for universal pigment pastes, providing wide pigment compatibility with both inorganic and organic pigments.
