Elvacite™ MB-2935 is a hydroxyl functional acrylic resin recommended for cure with isocyanate or melamine crosslinkers to formulate reactive hot melt adhesives. It is a solid, free-flowing resin with a low molecular weight of 25,000.
Elvacite™ MB-2935 is an acrylic resin designed by Mitsubishi for incorporation into hot-melt adhesive formulations. It is supplied as a non-dusting, spherical bead that easily dissolved in a wide variety of solvents for high formulation flexibility. It is part of Mitsubishi’s lower hydroxyl content group of acrylic resins, providing a solid hydroxyl value of 8 mg KOH/g. These hydroxyl functional groups can be used for cross-linking reactions with isocyanates for ambient cure polyurethane systems or melamines in baking systems. Upon formation of films, Elvacite™ MB-2935 provides excellent physical properties including high gloss, low pigment reactivity, high durability, and outstanding resistance to chemicals, weather, and UV exposure.
