Elvacite™ BR-53 is an acrylic resin intended for use as a binder in wet concrete coatings. It may also be used as a concrete curing compound.
Elvacite™ BR-53 is a thermoplastic styrene acrylic resin typically used in wet concrete coatings and as a curing compound for concrete. Compared to other Elvacite™ resins, the styrene content of BR-53 provides improved resistance to humidity and water. Elvacite™ BR-53 is supplied as a solid bead that is soluble in a variety of solvents, including toluene, MEK, acetone, ethyl acetate, n-butyl acetate, and PCBTF. In concrete applications, BR-53 helps form films on the surface of fresh concrete, helping to maintain moisture as the concrete cures.
