Overview
ZELEC® acid alcohol phosphates are used as internal mold release agents in unsaturated polyester and can be effective antistatic agents in coatings when neutralized.
ZELEC® LA-2 phosphate esters act as an internal mold release agent that also reduces the viscosity of plastic resin formulations. As a viscosity modifier, ZELEC® phosphate esters have been observed in clay, calcium carbonate, and aluminum trihydrate–filled systems. ZELEC® LA-2 is significantly less acidic than ZELEC® UN and thus shows no corrosion toward metal dies. This low acidity also makes ZELEC® compatible with acid-sensitive pigment systems.
