TrusTec® Toluene Standard Fuel 89.3 is a primary reference fuel that meets the requirements outlined in ASTM D-2699 and ASTM D-2700 to determine octane rating. This reference fluid is a blend of 70% toluene and 30% n-heptane, and is intended for use in calibrating knock engines for fuel analysis.
