TrusTec® Toluene Standard Fuel 99.8 is a primary reference fuel that meets the requirements outlined in ASTM D-2699 and ASTM D-2700 to determine octane rating. The reference fuel is a blend of minimum 73.7% toluene, 15.7% n-heptane, and 9.7% isooctane, and is intended to be used in the calibration of knock engines.

Toluene: 73.7–74.3
Isooctane: 9.7–10.3
Specific gravity at 60/60 °F: 0.8227–0.8247
