POLYBOND™ 3200 is a high-efficiency coupling agent for filled polypropylene systems that improves physical properties, such as strength and impact resistance. It provides good adhesion in film and sheet applications and compatibilization of polyamide–polypropylene blends.

Melt flow rate @ 190°C: 115 g/10 minutes
Maleic anhydride content: 0.8%–1.2%
Density @ 23°C: 0.91 g/cm³
Bulk density @ 23°C: 0.6 g/cm³
Melting point: 157°C
Primary Chemistry: Maleic anhydride–modified polypropylene homopolymer

Great for glass-filled, mineral-filled, or cellulose-fiber-filled polypropylene
Reduces water uptake
Increases flexural and impact strength
Compatibilizes polar and nonpolar materials
Enhances hydrolytic stability in polypropylene–polyamide blends
Acts as a coupling agent, process aid, and dispersion aid in halogen-free flame retardant compounds for wire and cable
Effectiveness of compatibilizers in polypropylene and polyamides filled with mineral fillers, glass, or cellulose fibers
Adhesion problems of polypropylene or polyamide products to nonpolar substrates
Added cost of using compatibilizers, dispersing agents, and processing aids in wire and cable compounds
Tie-layer component between multilayer polar and nonpolar materials
Wire and cable compounds using halogen-free flame retardants
