PACACEL™ laminating adhesives are solventless, polyurethane, 100% active systems that do not contain water or solvent carriers. These laminating adhesives are engineered to provide short cure times, maximize line speeds, and be suitable for high-heat food contact flexible packaging applications. PACACEL™ adhesives have great compatibility with a variety of printing inks present in laminations and offer excellent chemical resistance. Like most solventless adhesives, PACACEL™ consist of an isocyanate and polyol component that react to quickly form bonds to create laminations between various flexible packaging substrates, including PET, PP, PE, metallized films, foil, coextruded films, and more.

Depending on the grade used, laminates made with the solventless PACACEL™ adhesives typically cure in 2–3 days at ambient temperature and can be further processed within 4–8 hours at ambient temperature after coating. PACACEL™ laminating adhesive systems also have food contact approvals, including FDA 21 CFR 177.1395, 175.105, and (EU) No 10/2011. This makes PACACEL™ ideal for creating laminates used in packaging for snack food, frozen food, hot fill pouches, boil-in-bag, and ovenable pouches.
