Livent Lithium

Livent Lithium Carbonate

Livent lithium carbonate lowers the melting point of electrode fluxes in welding rods and the surface tension between the slag and base materia and is used as a flux to aid the melting of other components and helping to control expansion. It can be used to aid the melting of other components in certain ceramic compositions including enamel frits and glazes, can be vaporized in gas-fired heat-treating furnaces to protect the surface character of metals and is also used in a variety of specialty applications such as ion batteries, art glass, and resins. It has a very small ionic radius in comparison to other alkali metals.
