Overview
ADCOTE™ 1740 is a solution of a high tack polyester adhesive resin in MEK. It provides good adhesion to most surfaces and can be used as a primer for plastics, metals and other difficult to bond substrates. ADCOTE™ 1740 is often used as a solution based adhesive resin for the manufacturing of adhesives used in flexible packaging, electrical laminates. ADCOTE™ 1740 can be cross linked with an isocyanate to improve temperature and chemical resistance of the bonds that it forms. Additionally, ADCOTE™ 1740 has been used as a binding resin for printing inks used in the packaging industry where it provides excellent adhesion to plastics used in flexible packaging.
