DOWTHERM™ T is a liquid phase synthetic heat transfer fluid composed of alkyl benzene designed for use in nonpressurized systems in liquid phase thermal transfer applications (−10°C to 315°C).
DOWTHERM™ T is a synthetic heat transfer fluid based on a mixture of alkyl benzenes (C14-C30) for use in nonpressurized liquid systems at −10°C to 288°C (14°F to 550°F) and a max bulk temperature of 315°C (600°F). DOWTHERM™ T fluid exhibits favorable physical properties and low vapor pressure at the maximum use temperature due to its high flash and fire points between 188°C and 210°C. At the same time, it provides good low-temperature properties and exceptional stability at high-temperature operations.
DOWTHERM™ T provides incredibly long fluid life and excellent heat transfer across a very broad range of applications, including oil and gas processing, plastic processing, chemical processing, solar energy, heat recovery, industrial boilers, and mechanical heating.
