UCON™ FG-46 is an ISO 46 propylene glycol–based hydraulic fluid designed for use in food processing applications.
UCON™ FG-46 PG synthetic fluid is a fire-resistant hydraulic fluid based on water–glycol. This propylene glycol–based lubricant is specially developed for food processing applications and equipment, such as industrial fryers, ovens, cookers, and other intense, high-heat equipment. In addition, UCON™ FG-46 PG oil-based lubricant is a performance hydraulic fluid that optimizes fluid performance in a variety of hydraulic systems. UCON™ FG-46 propylene glycol is registered as H1 food safe for incidental contact by NSF.
UCON™ FG-46 fluid also provides excellent surface lubrication and corrosion resistance. Synthetic-grade lubricants are shown to outperform standard mineral oil–based solutions due to their superior chemical composition and uniformity. Propylene glycol lubricants also provide better deposit control and exhibit enhanced performance properties compared to general-purpose fluids.
