Tyzor® NBZ is a reactive alkoxy zirconate in n-butanol. It is used as a cross linking agent, catalyst, surface modifier, and adhesion promoter.

Tyzor® NBZ is an 87% active solution of tetra-n-butanol zirconate in n-butanol. It is used to improve yield as a low toxicity Lewis acid catalyst for esterification, addition and condensation reactions. It can also be used as Ziegler-Natta catalysts for olefin polymerization. Tyzor® NBZ can also be used as a additive in paints and coatings to cross link polymers with hydroxyl or carboxyl functionality as well as improve adhesion. Tyzor® NBZ can also be used to form zirconium dioxide films on surfaces via hydrolytic or pyrolytic processes. These films can be used as coatings to improve light reflection, increase surface hardness, promote adhesion of coatings, and add coloring effects.
