INCI Disodium EDTA
VERSENE™ NA forms extremely stable complexes with metals across a wide pH range. EDTA’s primary function is to bind with free iron, copper, and other naturally occurring trace metal ions. It will stop metal ions from reacting with ingredients in formulas or being used by microbial organisms. This can help with overall formulation stability and extend shelf life. This USP and cGMP-compliant grade is a pure powdered form readily dissolvable in water.

This grade is well suited for applications in neutral-pH to acidic conditions.
Disodium EDTA is primarily used in a wide range of pharmaceutical, personal care, and cosmetic products but can also be used as a food additive.
Personal care: Applicable for face care, body care, shampoos, conditioners, body washes, hair treatments, hand soaps, lotions, creams, wipes, deodorants, bath products, feminine hygiene products, sun care, and more.
Cosmetics: Primers, eyelash serums, concealers, foundations, eyeliners, mascaras, lip colors, eye shadows, blushes, and more.
Pharmaceutical and OTC: Saline solution, nasal spray, medicated creams and ointments, liquid elixirs, syrups, ocular care products.
